Located in the foothills of the majestic Mount Dromedary (Gulaga), the Tilba region is one of Eurobodalla's most popular drawcards.

Central Tilba is a working heritage village classified under the National Trust and has been named as one of Australia’s top 20 heritage sites.

Here you’ll find artisans such as the woodturner, leatherworker and cobbler practicing their crafts in 19th century weatherboard cottages. Sample specialty, award winning cheeses at the cheese factory or a delicious gourmet pie from the bakery. Don’t miss the toy store, lolly shop, galleries, jewellers, shops full of arts and crafts, a great pub as well as lovely cafes.

Mount Dromedary (Gulaga) was named by Captain Cook in 1770 and is a significant landmark for the southern half of the Eurobodalla region. It had great spiritual and cultural significance to the Yuin people, whose descendants today still hold the mountain in special reverence. It is possible to walk the mountain (allow the best part of a day and check with the Visitor Information Centre at Narooma for local knowledge and a map). Guided walking tours of the Tilba region are now available.

On Easter Saturday Central Tilba truly comes alive with the Easter Festival. There’s fun and entertainment for all ages including live music, roaming street performers, street games with prizes, craft demonstrations, market stalls, and lots of delicious food.
